Morris Oxford Series MO is an automobile produced by Morris Motors of the United Kingdom from 1948 to 1954. It was one of several models to carry the Morris Oxford name between 1913 and 1971. The Oxford name was used by Morris on several occasions and was dusted off after WW2 to be used on the MO which would be powered by a 40 horsepower, side-valve inline-4 at 1476 cc in displacement. This enabled the little car to reach a top speed of 72 mph, although it might take a little while to get there!

The Morris Oxford MO was launched alongside the Minor MM and Six MS at the 1948 Earls Court motor show. It was a clear statement that Morris understood how to build a range of family cars that looked homogenous, and interesting. All three models effectively shared the same styling, just scaled according to market pretention.

The Oxford was originally produced by Morris from 1913 until 1935, the model name was born again in 1948 and lasted almost another 23 years until 1971 until its successor the Morris Marina took over.

In 1948 the Eight was replaced by what is probably the most famous Morris car, the Morris Minor designed by Alec Issigonis (who later went on to design the Mini) and reusing the small car name from 1928. The Ten was replaced by a new 1948 Morris Oxford MO, styled like a larger version of the Minor.
